Delete your account
How to permanently delete your MX VPN account and the data associated with it.
You can request deletion of your MX VPN account at any time. You do not need the app installed to make the request.
From the app
The fastest route if you still have MX VPN installed:
- Open MX VPN and go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.
By request
If you no longer have the app, contact us from the email address or messaging handle registered to your account, with the subject "Account deletion". We will verify ownership before acting on the request.

What is deleted
On a verified request, we permanently delete:
- Your account identifier and password hash
- Any email address or messaging handle on the account
- Your plan, expiry, and device records
- Your data-volume and rewarded-ad counters
- Support messages, unless we are legally required to keep them
What may be retained
We may keep a limited record where tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention law requires it. Such records are kept only for the period the law requires, and are never used to profile you. We hold no browsing or activity history to retain, because none is ever recorded.
How long it takes
Deletion requests are actioned within 30 days of verification, and usually far sooner. Residual copies in encrypted backups are removed on the normal backup rotation, within 90 days.
