What we store

A plain-language breakdown of every piece of data MX VPN keeps — and everything it does not.

"No logs" is easy to claim and hard to verify, so here is the whole picture in plain language. Running an account system and a free tier requires a small amount of data. This is all of it — and everything we deliberately do not keep.

What we store

Each item exists for a specific operational reason, listed alongside it.

DataWhy we need it
Account identifierTo recognise you at sign-in. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash, never in readable form.
Email or messaging handle (optional)Only if you provide one — for support, purchases, and account recovery.
Plan and expiryTo know which plan applies to your account.
Data volume usedA byte counter, so free-tier allowances and premium entitlements can be enforced. It is a number only — never linked to what you accessed or when.
Device countTo enforce the device limit on your plan.
Rewarded-ad countTo grant the bonus data you earned and prevent abuse of the reward system.
App and device technical dataApp version, operating system, device type, and language — to deliver and troubleshoot the connection.
Support messagesKept only if you write to us, so we can help you.

What we never store

None of the following is recorded anywhere in our systems, which is why we cannot produce it — for anyone.

  • Your browsing history or the sites, services, and apps you reach
  • The content of anything you send through the connection
  • DNS queries linked to your identity
  • Destination addresses or domains you connect to
  • Session logs tying your activity to your identity
  • Your originating IP address linked to your activity
  • Precise location, contacts, photos, or files on your device

Because these records do not exist, they cannot be produced, sold, or surrendered — by us or by anyone else. The full legal detail is in our Privacy Policy.
